Rolife Moments: From Laughter to Challenges - Marina’s Story of Assembling Rolife Kits

A Joint Venture

Have you ever noticed that a small DIY kit like this one can make you laugh with friends, even when you make mistakes? On the other hand, it challenges you when you assemble it on your own.  Marina got to enjoy both experiences.

Marina, a seasoned Rolife kit enthusiast, was excited to ask a friend to help her make the Sakura Densya Book Nook. It’s a beautiful scene of a typical Tokyo street where you can almost smell the delicate cherry blossoms and hear the babbling brook. old_arcture was sure that her friend would be as entranced by the scene as she was.

She wasn’t wrong. Marina's friend was thrilled to be asked and accepted her offer without hesitation. She was looking forward to spending quality time with old_arcture and also learning a new skill.

They spent several hours assembling the book nook. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to brainstorm and exchange ideas. They chatted and laughed and playfully squabbled over which playlist to listen to. Both felt a flurry of excitement as the book nook took shape.

“We spent several hours putting every detail together into one picture. We listened to our favorite playlists and talked about everything under the sun.”

Marina suddenly noticed that her friend’s face had dropped. Concerned, Marina asked what was wrong. She admitted that she had put a couple of parts in the wrong places. Looking forlorn,  Marina went to hug her.

“Don’t worry, we’ll fix it together………”

They got to work and in no time, the mistakes had been fixed. Marina’s friend relaxed, and soon they were laughing about it. No lasting damage had been done, and their friendship was as strong as ever.

Immersed in the Puzzle

Marina loved her book nook so much that she decided to make another Rolife kit, the Sakura Journey Wooden Puzzle. She thought it would complement her Sakura Densya kit because it is a larger model of the train in her book nook.

Marina was excited to start assembling the puzzle on her own and was soon immersed in slotting the pieces together. As the scene took shape, she imagined getting on board the train and enjoying the view from the window.

A Twist of Fate: The Accidental Break

However, disaster struck, and Marina couldn’t believe how clumsy she’d been. One of the larger pieces cracked, and she panicked.

“ I panicked and didn’t know what to do. I didn’t have any glue on hand, and I was already upset, thinking my hands were clumsy.”

Luck, however, was on Marina’s side. She discovered that she could put the piece in place and it wouldn’t be seen. Catastrophe avoided! However, she decided to have some glue on hand for future mishaps.

“But then I suddenly realized that this piece could stay in place thanks to the structure and wouldn’t be visible in the finished version, since the broken section was behind the composition, near the wall. I sighed with relief, but I still asked my boyfriend to buy some glue from a stationery store for the future.”

Conclusion

Marina ends her post by saying,

“I know I’m not the only one who’s faced similar situations. Can you remember a time when an important part of one of your figures broke? How did you deal with this situation?”
