Two Groups Shared One Creative Purpose
The larger session welcomed 15 participants. Ages ranged from 12 to people in their 70s, and several guests were new to Robotime. Returning participants brought another kind of momentum: some had begun buying kits to continue building at home after attending Tina's first meetup the previous December.
The smaller session gathered eight people, including several new attendees. Tina noted that the reduced group size did not reduce the energy. Conversation and laughter filled the room, and the pace gave everyone space to settle into both the project and the people around them.
A Face-to-Face Layout Made Conversation Easier
Tina arranged the tables in a rectangle with chairs around the outside so participants could see one another while they worked. That simple choice made it easier to compare steps, share everyday stories, and move naturally between careful concentration and conversation.
The range of ages added to that exchange. New builders could ask practical questions, returning makers could share what they had learned, and people who might not otherwise meet had a clear reason to begin talking.
